Milton Reduces

The Milton Reduces core team consists of Ashley Raza, founder of Green Goals, Scott Cates, Eco Club teacher at Craig Kielburger Secondary School, and myself, Mary Brown, Events Director for Sustainable Milton.  In early June 2022, I had called a meeting to discuss how we might bring a reusable container program to Milton.  We were mutually disappointed with the unsettling amount of single-use trash we saw accumulating in our Milton green spaces and naturalized areas.  We knew that so much it was avoidable if we could only encourage the use of reusable containers.  Having read the story of Roncy Reduces, we decided to create our own team to launch a BYO program in Milton.  With our Milton Reduces decals and printed flyers in hand, we are ready to approach downtown businesses to share our message of BRING YOUR OWN.
